APPLY FOR A GRANT

Thank you for your interest in applying for a grant. We’re honored to partner with local nonprofits and research programs that strengthen care and advance progress in rising above Alzheimer’s and other dementias. We seek to grow, enhance and launch innovative ideas to improve quality of life, care partner support and research.

Apply for a grant today

You may be a great candidate if your organization is:

  • A nonprofit based in Dallas or the greater North Texas area
  • Providing Alzheimer’s-related programs/services in North Texas or conducting local research
  • In good financial health with a proven track record
  • Seeking funding for a single year (up to $50,000)
  • Seeking to start a new program or strengthen an existing one

Funds may be used for:

  • Day-to-day operating support

  • Research costs

  • Program or service expenses

  • Salaries for full- or part-time staff dedicated to your program for Alzheimer's and other dementias


Please note: Grants cannot be used for conference attendance, fundraising, marketing, travel, capital campaigns or bonuses. Equipment requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

HOW TO APPLY

Our 2026 Grant Cycle is now CLOSED. Please check back in December 2026 for updates on our 2027 Grant Cycle.

The information below outlines the AWARE Grant Cycle.

Phase 1: Intent to Apply

To begin you must complete a brief Phase 1 Form to introduce your program to our Grant Review Committee.

Phase 2: Full Application & Document Uploads

If invited to Phase 2, you will be asked to complete the full Grant Application and upload required documents into a secure SharePoint folder.

Documents required include:

  • IRS determination letter

  • Most recent 990

  • Organizational Budget

  • Project budget

  • List of Board Members

Your files will be kept confidential and accessible only to AWARE’s internal review team.

Phase 3: Site Visits

After a review of your Grant Application, you will be invited to Phase 3 and contacted to schedule a site visit with AWARE Grant Review Committee Members.

Phase 4: Funding Decisions and Funding

After a rigorous review, the AWARE Grant Review Committee will select our beneficiaries and funding will follow.
