APPLY FOR A GRANT
Thank you for your interest in applying for a grant. We’re honored to partner with local nonprofits and research programs that strengthen care and advance progress in the fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementias. We seek to grow, enhance and launch innovative ideas to improve quality of life, care partner support and research.
You may be a great candidate if your organization is:
- A nonprofit based in Dallas or the greater North Texas area
- Providing Alzheimer’s-related programs/services in North Texas or conducting local research
- In good financial health with a proven track record
- Seeking funding for a single year (up to $50,000)
- Seeking to start a new program or strengthen an existing one
Funds may be used for:
Day-to-day operating support
Research costs
Program or service expenses
Salaries for full- or part-time staff dedicated to your program for Alzheimer's and other dementias
Please note: Grants cannot be used for conference attendance, fundraising events, capital campaigns or bonuses. Equipment requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
HOW TO APPLY
Our 2026 grant cycle is now OPEN! Please read the following instructions:
Phase 1: Intent to Apply
To begin you must complete a brief Phase 1 Form here
The Phase 1 Form will only accept submissions between Feb 1-Feb 29 noon. After submitting your Phase 1 Form, it will be reviewed by the AWARE Grant Review Committee. If your organization is approved to proceed to Phase 2, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access your full application workspace.
Phase 2: Full Application & Document Uploads
If invited to Phase 2, you will be asked to complete the full Application Form and upload required documents into a secure SharePoint folder. Please note: You will need to sign in using the same email address you used on your Phase 1 Form in order to access your materials.
Documents required include:
IRS determination letter
Latest 990
Full project budget
Additional support documents listed in Phase 2 instructions
Your files will be kept confidential and accessible only to AWARE’s internal review team.
